Share a secret about your persona. It can be anything that the average person wouldn't know. For example: Sir Didymous' uncle Conon Hunte is actually a blend of traits held by my real life dad and step-dad, and inspite of the olde spelling, Sir Didymous' grandfather on his mother's side is me! Justyn Hunte.
I'M MY OWN GRANDPA!

Well now, I'm told that Scorpios are secretive: so here goes.
One of my characters, Sir Berenguer de Roncenay, actually started out as a very different fellow from the one he is now.
It all began like this: I was not at that time actively engaged in re-enactment; although I had a fair amount of kit (which I have always insisted on being battle-ready for authenticity), which I used mainly for demonstrations when giving talks and presentations. I was introduced by a friend to this chap, whom my friend thought I might be the best one to consult. It turned out that he wanted to start his own re-enactment group, but he needed help. He had a number of ideas in mind, but he was finding it difficult to bring all the strands together. In essence, he wanted to create something based around the Albigensian Crusade, and as this is a subject in which I have a great deal of interest, I said I'd help. It didn't take me long to write this group's history - about a day and bit; and he was really pleased with the results and he asked me if I'd like to join the group, which was only going to be a small one anyway. I even went so far to create an armorial for us all: and this is the origin of Sir Berenguer's arms of argent, gutte de sang. This, however, is where the story starts getting 'interesting'. It soon turned out that this chap had an agenda, and that he was taking things all a bit too seriously. Firstly, he was going to try to pass this group off as a real-life order of chivalry the antecedents of which went back to the Albigensian Crusade, and not to a week or so ago. He went even further, though. He started going on about the Cathars and the Grail and this nonsense about the sacred bloodline...AND THEN, he began making claims that he was of this bloodline. If that wasn't bad enough to turn MY blood cold, he was going to use all that I'd written to prove his claim, obviously thinking that if there was any backlash, it would be my name that got dragged through the mud. I promptly disassociated myself from him, refused to return any of his calls, and I transformed my character of Sir Berenguer into a rabid anti-heretic Crusader.
